The most useful detail to know before a charter is sometimes the least glamorous: how you get on the boat. Here is how a Sámara departure works.

Start on the sand
The meeting area is at the far end of Sámara beach, on the road toward Hotel Hideaway. The crew confirms the exact place before your trip, including parking details. There is no marina check-in, dock or boarding ramp. A small shuttle takes you from the beach to the charter boat. Shore fishing uses a separately agreed meeting point, and the northern-river tarpon trip has its own travel arrangements.
The transfer needs steady footing
You wade through shallow water to get into the shuttle, then step from it onto the charter boat. Both move with the swell. If anyone has difficulty with balance, mobility or stepping between moving boats, ask before booking. Describe the actual concern so the crew can answer honestly. This is more helpful than assuming a private charter automatically offers step-free access.
Plan for the whole time on board
Neither boat has a toilet. Sol de Oro has a shade cover; Acuarelas has partial shade. Bring a hat, sunglasses, long sleeves and sun protection, with essentials in a dry bag. Avoid bulky hard coolers and valuables you would hate to lose. Drinks and snacks are already included. Choose the duration with everyone’s comfort in mind, especially for a first outing or a mixed-age group.
