Out on the water
Fish for tarpon on the fly in the fresh water of the Caño Negro river, in Costa Rica’s northern jungle. This is a custom trip, a long way from Sámara. We can combine days on the river with days at sea here, building the itinerary around your dates and ambitions.
Maximum two anglers per boat. Meals and accommodation included; rods, flies and fishing licenses are not. English spoken. Dates, itinerary and price are arranged by enquiry, with 13% tax added.
Fishing licenses are not included. The current published guidance is about US$17 for eight days for anglers over 16. We will help you arrange yours after booking; confirm current requirements before your trip.

Booking & cancellation
Online bookings currently confirm without waiting for the 30% deposit; we arrange payment separately. Accepted methods are Visa, Mastercard, cash and PayPal. The remaining balance is due on the day. Cancel at least seven days before your trip for a full deposit refund. With fewer than seven days’ notice, or a no-show, the deposit is kept unless the date is resold. If the captain cancels for weather or a mechanical problem, you receive a full refund. Fish are never guaranteed; unused time is not refunded if you end your trip early.
